Nighttime Lightings to Resume Following Exterior Restoration of Lantern Section

The upper exterior of Iskalo Development’s historic Electric Tower, also known as the lantern section, is once again illuminating the City of Buffalo nighttime skyline. Following a comprehensive restoration of the building’s uppermost exterior, which was encased in scaffolding and netting for much of 2011’s construction season and caused the Electric Tower to go dark, the lantern section is once again being lit in red, green and white to celebrate the holiday season.
 

Business Technology & Resource Group (BTRG), officially opened their new U.S. headquarters on Thursday, December 8, 2011, in Downtown Buffalo’s Electric Tower. City of Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown, BNE President Thomas Kucharski, and Iskalo Development Founder and CEO Paul Iskalo welcomed BTRG President Jeff Goddard, Shared Services Director Rob Kopf and the rest of BTRG’s staff to the building.

Sometimes one of the saddest aspects of seeing a building renovated is knowing that the general public can not participate first hand in the transformation. Of course we can all look up and see a beautiful building standing in its glory, but what about the inside?
